Quick, get down to Electro - it's Gibson Day!

Some of you may be aware that we run a 'Gibson Day' on the last Saturday of every month here in the Electro Music store in Doncaster. This is a great way for you to come and learn more about the terrific range of Gibson and Epiphone guitars, pick up some freebies such as Gibson T-Shirts, Guitar care packs, packs of strings, and also participate in a national monthly prize draw to win a top Gibson guitar!!!

One of the fun competitions we had this month was a 'Sustainathon'. This involved sustaining a guitar note for as long as possible without further picking. (Only a guitarist could think up such a competition - Ed.) Check out the shots above to see a selection from the day.

October's Winner

We are ecstatic that on our November Gibson Day we were able to present one lucky winner with the previous months national Gibson prize won here at Electro Music - a Gibson Carved Top SG worth £1800.

How cool is that!!!

The lucky chap in question is 15 year old Will Mather who has been playing guitar for about 18 months. He is seen here accepting his prize from our resident guitar specialist POD.

Thanks to the folks at Gibson for the generous guitar donation and... WELL DONE WILL!!!!

A delighted 15 year old Doncaster guitarist called Nick Howard (pictured left - with a broken collar bone sustained during a Skating accident) started the New Year on a better note by receiving his brand new 'Gibson SG Carved Top'  from 'Electro Music' Gibson product specialist George Miller (pictured right) - George who is 18 years old and is left-handed is also the proud owner of both a Gibson Les Paul Standard and ES 335 Guitar.

To win two Gibson guitars from one store is pretty good going. Our next Gibson day is scheduled for the last Saturday in January. Don't miss it!
