The Digi 002 from Digidesign is an excellent all in one digital audio solution from the leader in professional audio hardware and software. Following on the heels of their successful two channel USB based MBox, the Digi 002 is a more professional rig with eight simultaneous inputs (four with mic pre amps) and motorized faders for controlling the included 32 Track ProTools software. The Digi 002 works on both Mac OS9 and Windows XP (OSX Software in spring of 2003) and because it sends audio via firewire, it can be used with a laptop for your mobile recording needs. It even works as a stand alone digital mixer.
